We have our own
private network
Voxalis Private Access Network (PAN)
Voxalis is able to guarantee call quality for our clients using our Private Access Network. Many hosted telephony service providers make unsubstantiated claims that voice quality can be delivered using dedicated Broadband or QoS (Quality of Service) products but this is simply not the case. This is because on most these services have many other types of data traffic within their networks that compete for space and even if voice packets are given priority this can not be guaranteed. The result is poor voice quality and inconsistent line availability.
The Voxalis answer to this problem is to connect to our customers using our private, uncontended IP network that only carries Voxalis voice traffic. Because our network is under the full control of Voxalis we can ensure that only the voice traffic that we allow is permitted through the network. There is no competition for space as the network is uncontended (not shared) thereby guaranteeing voice quality and line availability at all times.
In addition to our philosophy of delivering voice over our private network, Voxalis has invested heavily in our core network connectivity in order to ensure that there are no single points of failure within the core. This has been achieved through multiple interconnects triangulating our twin data centres, located in the City of London and London Docklands, with our network partners.
In addition, Voxalis has also developed its own router firmware that allows us to manipulate the behaviour of the network to suit voice, where stability is much more important than download speeds (the opposite of data networks).
Pan Options
In order to simplify our network offering to our clients Voxalis do not sell bandwidth but channels or concurrent call capability. This is made possible by our ability to tightly manage the number of calls a particular site is able to make on our network.
Our cost effective PAN solutions range from 3 channels to 48 channels (concurrent calls) and is 25% cheaper than the ISDN equivalent. Voxalis clients can increase or decrease channels instantly as the needs of their business change.
